PUT TO DEATH
“You must certainly put them to death. Your hand must be the first in putting them to death, and then the hands of all the people.”
Deuteronomy 13:9 NIV
God himself is saying to put to death, God is telling us to kill someone......
Why!!!????
----------------
Because of the first and greatest command of all
“You shall have no other gods before me.”
Deuteronomy 5:7 NIV
If you see in today's Christians they think this doesn't belong to them, they know the real God and they hate worshipping other gods , idols etc. they thing they are perfectly following the first command, they have only one God,
but they are not.....!!!!????
See first in Deuteronomy whom did God tell to kill
“That prophet or dreamer must be put to death for inciting rebellion against the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt and redeemed you from the land of slavery. That prophet or dreamer tried to turn you from the way the Lord your God commanded you to follow. You must purge the evil from among you.”
Deuteronomy 13:5 NIV
God is telling to put to death who tried to turn you away.......
This literally means not only who but also what ever ,
Anything or anyone that's keeping you away from loving your God or from worshiping your God, or from spending time with your God or keeping you away from praying to your God, should be put to death
There are lot of things that will keep us away from worshipping God or spending time with God ... Lot
Laziness , too busy , earthly things like watching tv, our mobile phones, sleeping, office work and lot other things which makes to stay away from our God,
But see what God wants us to do to all the above things .......PUT TO DEATH.......
Put to death your laziness
Put to death you business
Put to death your time watching tv or spending time on your phone ...... Lot
Just kill them , pull them from their roots, that habit should not come to life again in you.....
Remember what Daniel did when the law passed saying not to worship the God , he killed that law... It's a dead law to him.....
“Now when Daniel learned that the decree had been published, he went home to his upstairs room where the windows opened toward Jerusalem. Three times a day he got down on his knees and prayed, giving thanks to his God, just as he had done before.”
Daniel 6:10
Let's do the same thing.... Let's ask God to give strength knowledge and wisdom to do like Daniel...
Let's pray...
